Record Spend

Argyll & Bute saw a record spend on affordable housing in 2007/8 from the Scottish Government (formally Communities Scotland) Affordable Housing Investment Programme. 

 
£21.883m was spent, resulting in 161 new homes for the area.

Energy Performance

From January 4, 2009, all EU member states have an obligation under the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) to promote improvement in the energy performance of new and existing buildings.

 
This means there will be a requirement to provide an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) to any prospective buyer or tenant of a property when it is either sold or rented out.

New Single Application Form

Argyll Community Housing Association, Fyne Homes, Dunbritton Housing Association and West Highland Housing Association are currently asking all applicants to fill in a new application form. The new HOME Argyll application form allows applicants to apply to any of the four housing associations using just one form.
