Right to Buy
If you are a tenant of a housing association, you may have the ‘right to buy’ your home. If the housing association is registered as a charity, tenants will generally not be eligible to buy their house. However, if the housing association is not registered as a charity tenants may have the right to buy their house.
There are some restrictions on this general rule, and if you would like to find out whether you have the ‘right to buy’ your home you should speak to your housing association directly.
