Repair and improvement grants

Repair and improvement grants help people living in owner occupied or privately rented housing to meet the cost of having their homes repaired, improved or adapted. Click here for Private Sector Team contacts 

Home energy grants – these grants help home owners with the costs of insulating and draught proofing their homes. There are two main schemes:

• The Central Heating Programme offers free central heating installation for people aged 60 and over. This scheme is run by Scottish Gas, Freepost, SCO 4421, Edinburgh, EH6 0BR; or you can telephone them on their freephone number: 0800 316 1653.
• The Insulation Grant Scheme operates in all areas of Argyll to offer grants for improving the energy efficiency of your home. Speak to alienergy and British Gas to find out more.
