The Highlands and Islands Croft Entrance Scheme

The Highlands and Islands Croft Entrant Scheme (HICES) encourages inactive crofters or those considering scaling down their crofting activity to release crofts to young people and offers practical and financial support for young people to remain part of, or join a crofting community.
